iHs BAND

iHs BAND is back from Sabbatical, with some new members and a new sound!

For the second time since the band formed in 1990, it took some time off. 

This first happened in 1997, and it meant some changes in personnel, and a name change. The band took some time off in late summer 2003, and it again has included a change in personnel, and style of music.

Change is always hard, but sometimes necessary. God uses us and leads us sometimes in different directions. 

For 6 years, from 1997-2003, God lead us as a band that was guitar oriented, using a rock/blues style. He sent us to a lot of places to minister, opening new opportunities of ministry each year. We enjoyed not only the ministry to others, but the ministry amongst ourselves. He helped six extremely talented people to gel into an effective work for Him. But now He has lead some of the members in a different direction, and He has lead some new musicians to us.

We're heading into a new style of music with the addition of horns. Its a style of music that is widely known in the Carolinas and Virginia- "beach music". Its a style of music that hasn't been used much by Christian artists. But it is a style of music that works well for Christian lyrics and praise and worship. Its upbeat, positive, and enjoyed by all ages.
