about the iHs BAND
the band's history
iHs is a ministry-based band based out of Burlington, NC. The band had its beginnings in 1990,  then called "Reconcile". It began as some members of a secular band who were Christians had a desire to use their talents for the Lord. In 1997 the name was changed to "iHs". There are still three original members of the band. After a two year break, the band began again in Fall '06 with a new line-up and sound.

Throughout the past 16 years the band has performed for Sunday evening services for churches, Sunday morning services, Saturday evening concerts, revivals, youth rallys, festivals, concerts, coffeehouses, and many different special events. For several years the band performed at many secular events and festivals as a ministry outreach.
the band's music
The band consists of a full rhythm section (guitar, bass, keyboards, drums), horn section, and vocals. The band utilizes a style of music that is known as Beach Music, which is upbeat and appeals to a wide age-range audience.
the band's purpose
iHs band is a ministry - our purpose is to use the medium of music to bring a message about Jesus Christ to those who attend our concerts. We hope the music will be entertaining, pleasant, well-received, and enjoyed - so that the message of the music speaks to all who hear.

Our goal is to challenge the audience to either begin a walk with Jesus, or to strengthen their present walk. The message of the songs performed by the band are Biblically sound.

The main focus of our ministry is to and with congregations. God has lead us to a lot of other events and programs through the years, opening the doors for ministry to secular audiences. But our main ministry remains with congregations.

the band members
iHs band members are musicians who are Christians, who recognize that their talents are from the Lord, who desire to use their talents for the Lord. They are fun loving people - upbeat, humorous, and enjoy the lives God has given them. They can be serious, and they can be fun. You'll enjoy the personal side of each band member when you meet them at concerts.
